Garden design and restoration - hard and soft landscaping

Jay has designed gardens in a wide range of styles, including cottage gardens, family and formal spaces, low maintenance, organic and ecological gardens. She has planned a variety of different spaces, from a tiny courtyard garden to a roof terrace, and from an urban vegetable plot to a two acre walled garden. She has wide experience in all levels of garden maintenance, specialising in fruit tree renovation.

She can also build and install water features, irrigation systems and outdoor lighting. If your garden needs rejuvenating, she can help with pruning and reshaping, soil care, additional planting, new features and simple maintenance regimes.

She has created gardens from the bare earth left behind after building works. She has also worked in mature and developing gardens to enhance and manage the planting that is already there. She gardens organically as much as possible, recommending no chemical pesticides.

She enjoys working with garden owners to help them design and realise the garden they want, and she gets huge pleasure from the physical and mental work involved in creating a new and beautiful outdoor space. She has a good practical knowledge of plants developed over twenty five years in professional gardening and knows how to choose the right plant for the right place, ensuring that the finished garden will grow and thrive.
